Harrow Council has selected Lambeth Communications to deliver its communications function until 2019 following a decision by its Cabinet on 15th January 2015.

Following a competitive tendering exercise, Lambeth Communications – a communications trading service owned by Lambeth Council – was chosen for the high quality of its offer.

From April, it will run services, including strategic communication, consultation and engagement, media relations, internal communications, campaigns and publications until 2019.

Lambeth Communications was founded in 2013 and has a number of clients in the public sector.

Julian Ellerby, Director of Lambeth Communications, said: “We are delighted that Harrow Council has appointed Lambeth Communications to deliver its communications function until 2019.

“We put forward a strong offer to Harrow promising a new way of delivering communications to their residents, businesses and other key stakeholders. In addition to meeting core service needs, we will generate an income from communications and introduce innovations and technology to support the ambitions and vision of Harrow. We have also promised a range of other benefits to Harrow which demonstrate our support of their social and environmental commitments.

“Our model for delivering communications is centred on supporting people to change and improve their lives to build stronger communities. We have used it successfully in Lambeth, and are very confident this approach will have the same positive impact in Harrow. We are also excited about the significant potential this new partnership promises.”
